Part 2. Current Scabies Treatment Paradigms

In Part 2 of this educational video series, Dr. Ted Rosen discusses the diagnosis of and recommended and alternative treatment regimens for scabies, including existing unmet treatment needs.

Scabies is a nondiscriminatory, widespread disease that affects about 3% of the world population at any given time. Current treatment regimens include permethrin 5% cream, oral ivermectin 200 ug/kg body weight, and ivermectin 1% lotion. Alternative treatments include Lindane Lotion 1%, topical sulfur, and crotamiton.
