Dr. Raj Chovatiya to Open New Medical Dermatology and Immunology Research Center in Chicago

Dermatology Digest Editorial Advisory Board member Raj Chovatiya, MD, PhD, is now the Founder and Director of the Center for Medical Dermatology and Immunology Research in Chicago in collaboration with DOCS Dermatology. 

The new Center is slated to be up and running in early Spring 2024.

I envision bringing tertiary academic center type care to a more approachable and efficient setting, and integrating everything that I’m passionate about to help more people.”

“Patients with chronic immune mediated, inflammatory diseases, face many challenges in their lives, and appropriate diagnosis, treatment, long-term care, and even research studies can all present a major challenge,” Dr. Chovatiya tells TDD. “As somebody who has a passion for the combination of clinical care, science, and education, I’m really excited for what we’re going to be able to do with our Center. I envision bringing tertiary academic center type care to a more approachable and efficient setting, and integrating everything that I’m passionate about to help more people.”

In addition, Dr. Chovatiya will be joining the faculty at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science Chicago Medical School (CMS) and the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he will serve as clinical faculty with a role in resident education.
